The CurseForge team is always ready to assist with issues related to the website, uploading and managing your projects or questions about the Reward Program.

However, please note that we cannot offer support for individual mods, addons, or custom content available on CurseForge.

For specific questions about how a project functions in-game, you'll need to contact the project’s author directly and it’s a simple process!

Etiquette When Contacting Authors

  • Berespectful and polite- Keep in mind that many authors are volunteers creating mods in their spare time.
  • Avoid spamming- Sending multiple messages, especially without a reply, is not only discouraged, it is a punishable offense both on and off the CurseForge platform.
  • Be patient- Authors may not always be available or able to help with your specific issue.

Contacting a Project Author

If you have a question or issue related to a particular project (e.g., a mod not working correctly), follow these steps to reach out to the creator:

Message via CurseForge

  1. Go to the author's profile at: https://www.curseforge.com/members/[author's username]/projects
    (For example: https://www.curseforge.com/members/atmteam/projects)
  2. Click the “Message” button located in the upper-right corner of the profile page.

  3. Write your message and click “Send Message”.

If the author responds, their reply will appear in your CurseForge PM inbox.

Use Author-Provided Contact Channels

Authors often list other ways to reach them such as:

  • Discord servers
  • Project comment sections
  • Official websites
  • Social media links

You can usually find these listed in the project description.

For Business Inquiries

Businesses or individuals may contact authors for legitimate, respectful business-related inquiries (e.g., server hosting partnerships).

However, the following rules apply:

  • Only one message per user or company is allowed.
  • If you don’t receive a reply, do not follow up with additional messages.
  • Unsolicited or repeated outreach will be considered spam and may result in penalties.
