Updating your addons
When a new Classic expansion launches, many of your installed addons will likely become outdated. This will be indicated by a warning icon next to each addon that hasn’t yet been updated.
You can update addons that support the new expansion individually or use the Update All button. You’ll also receive a prompt with this option the first time you open the instance in the app.
Which of my addons support the new Classic expansion?
Support for the new expansion varies by addon:
Some authors update their addons almost immediately.
Others may take longer, or may not update them at all.
In some cases, addons may still function in-game even if they appear as “corrupt.”
Keep checking the Update button next to each addon, as authors often release updates frequently in the days following pre-patches and expansion launches.
"This addon might be corrupt" Warning
You may see this warning message for certain addons you currently have installed. This indicates that the installed version is not compatible with the latest Classic expansion.
If a compatible version of the addon is available, clicking Update will install it and remove the warning.
If no compatible version is available, you’ll need to wait for the addon author to upload a compatible version, or you can attempt to run the game with the current one (though it may not work as expected).
