In order to upload a new mod via ARK's Devkit please follow these steps:

  1. Install ARK’s Devkit 

  2. Build your mod

  3. Click on UGC then Share Mod:

  4. You will need to log in to CurseForge. If you do not have a CurseForge account you can create one using the steps here: Getting Started

If you already have a CurseForge account please follow these steps:

  1. Enter your email address

  2. Enter the verification code sent to your Email (If you do not receive the verification code please check your spam folder.)

  1. Fill in all the required fields for the platform you would like to upload your mod to: 

    1. PC Only: 

      1. Source file will be cooked for PC and servers

      2. Once published, the mod will go live and will be available in the CurseForge website and inside ARK in-game (for PC)

      3. The mod will be sent to the moderation team for review. 

    2. Cross platform:

      1. The source file will be cooked for all platforms (PC, Xbox, Playstation and servers)

      2. After cooking is completed, you will be able to test the mod on all platforms and servers 

      3. Once ready to publish, the mod will be sent to moderation. After approval, the mod will be available on all platforms and on the CF website.

Note: Once a platform has been selected, you will only be able to change it after creating a new version of the mod via the ARK Devkit. 


  • Select mod - Will present the name of the project which is about to be uploaded. Make sure this is the correct mod.


  • Mod name - Enter the desired display name in the in-game UI and on CurseForge website. [Are there any requirements for mod names or something else that we should write in the moderation review article?]


  • Mod version - Will present the mod version - This is generated automatically.


  • Upload image - Upload the image which will be presented in the mod’s tile in the in-game UI and on CurseForge website. The image size should be a 1:1 ratio and a minimum of 400px by 400 px.


  • Category - Select the relevant category for your creation.


  • Mod summary - This is a short description which will be presented on the mod’s tile in the CurseForge website.


  • Mod description - Describe your mod and your creation. This will be presented in the mod page both in the in-game UI and in the CurseForge website. The more detailed description the better. [Same re requirements.]



Note: Once the mod is uploaded it will not be public. You will be able to edit the mod page and test it before it will be published. 

After uploading the mod from the Devkit, it will be available in the CurseForge website and in the in-game UI on the selected platforms only for you and your desired members (see “Cross-platform testing: How to test your new ARK mod on all platforms” for more information).

After uploading your mod the mod will be automatically cooked for all platforms. You can see the project’s status on the mod’s project page in your dedicated authors section on the CurseForge website


Once the cooking is completed, you will be able to publish your new mod (see “How to publish a new ARK mod” for more information)
