ARK: Survival Ascended offers Premium mods- These are high quality mods that need to be purchased for you to be able to use them on a server or in a single player mode.

Purchasing a premium mod via the mod browser
To purchase a premium mod on PC via the mod browser, you must perform the following steps:
Find a premium mod you wish to purchase
Premium mods will be available like any other mod in the mod browser.
Go to the mod page
To purchase a premium mod via the mod browser, you need to go to the mod’s page.
You will see the main action button has changed from “Install” to “Purchase”.
You will also see the price of this mod.
NOTE: Any applicable sales tax, will be added in the checkout page.
Click on “Purchase”
The Next step is to click the “Purchase” button. You need to be aware of two things:
- You will not be charged at this point, so don’t worry if you click it by mistake
- We will open a checkout page in a new window, using your default browser
Fill in your personal information
We use the Tebex service to process all payments for PC purchases.
Fill in your details in the required fields, check the desired checkboxes, and click on “Continue to payment” to proceed to the next step.
Fill in your payment details
In this screen, you can choose your preferred payment method.
Note: The options for payment methods might change based on your location.
Once you select your desired payment method, fill in the required details (which vary based on the selected payment method).
Review your order and make sure this is indeed the mod you desire.
When ready, click “Complete order” to pay for the mod.
Once the order is processed, you will see the confirmation screen with your Tebex order number.
Also, a receipt will be sent to the email you entered in the personal information step.
You can now go back to the game.
Install your newly purchased mod
Once your order is completed, in the relevant mod’s page, you can notice the main button is now “Install” instead of “Purchase”.
You should also see the “Purchased” indication both in the mod page and on the mod’s tile in the mod browser.
Use your newly purchased mod
Once you installed your newly purchased mod, you can use it in one of two options:
- In the single player mode - You can activate your mod when creating a local game
- When joining a server - You can join any server using this mod with no need to purchase it again
Purchasing a premium mod via the server module
To purchase a premium mod on PC via the server module, you will need to perform the following steps:
- Find a server you wish to join
- Review the required premium mods
- Click on Purchase
- Fill in your personal information
- Fill in your payment details
- Install your newly purchased mod
- Use your newly purchased mod
Find a server you wish to join
Review the server list and find a server you wish to join. This step is the same as joining every server and there is no indication on a server when it is using premium mods.
Review the required premium mods
If the server is using premium mods it will have several indications:
- Purchased required - When you see this indication in the top left corner of the module, it means this server is using premium mods
- Mod tiles - Same as in the mod browser experience, premium mod tiles will have the premium indication in the top left corner in addition to presenting the mod’s price on the tile itself
- Purchase summary - Since a server can use more than one premium mod, this widget will show the summary of the total amount required to be paid in order to purchase all the premium mods used on this server.
NOTE: If you already purchased some or all of the required mods, the mod tiles will indicate “Purchased” and the summary will only indicate the remaining amount to be paid in order to purchase the missing premium mods. - The main action is “Purchase” and not “Join”

Install your newly purchased mod
Once you purchase all the required premium mods to join a server, the mod tiles will indicate “Purchased” instead of the mod’s price.
Also, the summary widget will disappear and the main button will change to “Join” instead of purchase.
Click on “Join” in order to download all the relevant mods (premium or free) which are required for joining the server.
Use your newly purchased mod
Once you installed your newly purchased mod, you can use it in one of two options:
- In the single player mode - You can activate your mod when creating a local game
- When joining a server - You can join any server using this mod without needing to purchase it again
FAQ
What are premium mods?
Premium mods are high quality mods with meaningful added value for the gamers. Unlike regular mods, you must purchase a premium mod before using it.
Can I buy a premium mod outside of the game or CurseForge?
No you cannot.
The only way to purchase a premium mod is via the in-game experience.
Be aware that no third-party vendor nor mod authors are allowed to sell ARK premium mods.
If you purchased a premium mod not via the in-game experience, it will not work in-game, and we are not responsible for it.
Can I try a mod before purchasing it?
Currently, there is no option to try a mod before purchasing it. That being said, we are working on a solution that will enable gamers to test a premium mod before deciding whether to purchase it or not.
Do mod authors get rewarded for premium mods?
Yes they are!
Authors get 50% of every mod purchase after the deduction of taxes and platform fees.
The rest is split between Overwolf and the game developers.
If I buy a mod on a PC, can I use it on other platforms?
No you cannot.
With premium mods, every platform stands independently, and you must purchase the mod on every platform separately. Once you purchase a mod on a specific platform, you can use it as much as you like, whether on a single player mode or joining every server using this mod.
Do I need to buy the mod whenever I want to join a server using it?
You need to purchase a premium mod only once.
Once you’ve purchased it, you will not need to buy it again.
Can I refund a mod?
Yes you can.
You can request a refund on your premium mod if it meets the following requirements:
You didn’t install or use the premium mod
You can ask for a refund if the purchase was 14 days ago or less
