Add and Manage Games
Your installed games and mods should be automatically detected by the app, but if you notice anything missing - no worries! You can try to scan the computer for games or browse your system to manually add a game.
Scan for Games
- Open the CurseForge app's Settings:
- Click the '+' button:
- Choose 'Scan computer for games':
- The app will inform you of the scan's completion and its results:
Add a Game Manually
- Open the CurseForge app's settings:
- Click the '+' button:
- Choose 'Manually add a game':
- Navigate to the game's installation directory:
- Select the game's main folder.
- Your game should be now successfully added to the app!
Manage Games
Once a game is added to the app you can manage its specific settings.
For games that support multiple installations, such as World of Warcraft, settings are managed per installation (instance).
For example, if you toggle off the "Auto Install Updates" option while the selected instance is World of Warcraft Classic, that change will apply only to World of Warcraft Classic and will not affect other instances of the game.
Mod Installation
Once you have a game set up in the CurseForge app you can start installing mods for it.

Support
Our support team is here to provide help with any questions or issues you have: Submit a ticket.
In most cases, the CurseForge app's logs can help our team identify the issue and suggest a solution more quickly, so it's recommended to add the logs zip file when creating a support ticket.
You can easily export the logs through the app:
- Click the '?' icon at the app's menu
- Select 'Create logs zip'
- Your desktop folder will automatically open and highlight the logs file
Otherwise, you can collect the logs manually by following the guide relevant to your operating system here: How to Get Your CurseForge Logs.
